Sale of Old Frodsham Library

CWaC is putting the site of the former Frodsham Library up for sale by auction.
The auction will take place at Manchester City's stadium on 26 February 2015 starting at 12 noon.

If you are interested in bidding the link to the auction site is here:

The guide price is suggested as being £300,000 or more, with a hint that CWaC planners would look favourably on any development scheme that looked to convert the building into housing.  CWaC has invested more than £500,000 in our new Library at the Leisure Centre.

This former chapel building of 444 square metres split equally on two levels is something of a rarity in effectively having two ground floors as well as having space for 14 cars to park.  I'm sure that opens up many possibilities for imaginative architects and developers alike.

I do hope whoever buys the building will preserve it and, of course the stained glass window of the Frodsham Bee.
