Frodsham Community Grant Giving

Frodsham Community Grants event.html

We've just had another wonderful community grant giving event at the Community Church.
Thirty local community groups made presentations seeking support for their projects.   If you want to find out more click on the above link.

As in previous years it is the community groups themselves that will influence who gets a share of the around £6,000 on offer.  This year though we've made it more like 'Strictly' - and introduced public voting.  The public voting stays open until Thursday.  If you want to vote - click on the above link, look at the projects and vote for your favourites. And just like 'Strictly' the public vote will count for 50% of the influence - with the community groups having the other 50%.  Lynn and I won't be voting, unless we have to exercise a casting vote.

We'll be announcing the winners on Friday via the website.

The 30 groups seeking support are:

I have to record a big thank you to Tim Croall for letting us use the Community Church and to Peter Lloyd and his colleagues from CWaC who helped organise and run the event.  Thanks also to Andy for videoing - he'll publish footage from tonight on the website tomorrow.  My daughter Sarah also took photos tonight which I'll be publishing shortly too.
